A language and cultural adaptation programme for people from abroad
who live and work in Poland.

Discover EMpolish

Two complementary elements, one programme.

EMpolish is an online programme supporting language and cultural adaptation to life and work in Poland.

It combines structured language learning with independent, AI-supported practice.

Adapting to a new country means bringing together three areas.

Speak and understand.

You learn the communication skills you actually need in everyday life and work in Poland.

Understand the context.

You understand communication styles, customs and the everyday realities of life in Poland.

Your place in Poland.

You combine language and cultural understanding with everyday life and relationships with others.

Language opens the conversation. Culture helps you understand the context. Integration helps you find your place in Poland.

Did you know how many meanings a single Polish word can have?

“Proszę” can mean a request, a response, an invitation, a polite gesture, or a signal that you didn’t hear something.

In EMpolish you learn to understand what words ant the way people communicate really mean in everyday life in Poland.

EMpolish Programme

EMpolish Programme combines learning Polish in a cultural context with practising real-life situations from everyday life and work in Poland, using AI.

EMpolish Basics

A structured path to learning Polish.

From your first words in Polish to communicating in situations from your life and work in Poland.

EMpolish AI Companion

A bridge between learning and real life.

Simulations of conversations and situations you may encounter in your life and work in Poland.

8 modules + EMpolish AI Companion

AI supports learning and practice throughout the programme. EMpolish AI Companion lets you carry that practice into situations from your own life and work.

You start speaking Polish from day one.

You learn the words and phrases you need to introduce yourself and make first contact. You complete your first exercises with AI and immediately put the new words into practice.

You start taking part in a conversation in Polish.

You say hello and goodbye, introduce yourself, and ask where someone is from. You can say how you feel, talk about the weather, ask for something, and say thank you.

You start talking about what you see, feel, and experience every day in Poland.

You can describe the weather and your surroundings, say what you’re wearing, describe how you feel and basic emotions, and talk about what you like doing. You also learn the most important Polish customs related to the seasons.

You start to understand how Polish actually works.

You recognise the gender of nouns, match word forms correctly, and start to understand why words change their endings. You can also build simple sentences in Polish.

You can talk about place, time, and how things happen.

You can say where you are, where you’re going, and where you’re from. You describe how, when and to what extent something happens. You combine several simple sentences into one logical statement, and you can talk about what happened yesterday and what will happen tomorrow.

You start communicating in Polish at work.

You talk about yourself, your job and your daily responsibilities. You can talk about what you did, what you’re doing, and what you will do. You practise situations related to your profession – asking, answering, asking for help, and solving problems in Polish.

AI helps prepare exercises tailored to your profession and work situations.

You prepare for situations you may genuinely encounter in Poland.

At the shop, at the bank, at the doctor’s, at a government office, when renting a flat, or chatting with a neighbour — you learn the vocabulary and communication style you need, then practise it with AI before using it in real life.

You start functioning independently in Polish.

Throughout the programme, you’ve learned the language, the cultural context, and the situations you encounter in Poland. Now you bring it all together in practice — speaking, understanding, responding, and coping with everyday life and work.

Your bridge between learning and reality.

You get a tool that lets you learn, practise and prepare for situations that come up in your life in Poland.

You learn how to talk to AI and write prompts that help you get exactly what you need.

You generate vocabulary, exercises, quizzes, writing materials and other content you need for learning.

You test your knowledge, review material, and work on grammar, vocabulary, writing and pronunciation.

You have voice conversations with AI in situations that could genuinely happen to you in Poland.

AI provides the form.

Humans provide the meaning.

Technology supports the learning process. Meaning, context, and relationships remain the responsibility of the human being.
